If you're a coffee lover, you'll know that the quest for the perfect cup never ends. That's why we are thrilled to let you in on a little secret: Café Barista Micro-Roastery.
Founded in Montréal in 2004, the Barista Micro-Roastery is part of Québec's fourth coffee wave. Their history begins with the long-standing friendship between Barista’s two co-founders, Alex Sereno and Enrico Serena. Throughout the years, they have continued to offer the highest quality products, inspired by the Italian tradition of slow roasted coffee, for true espresso lovers.
We have a passion for the Classics and at Threshold, our roasters are of the opinion that coffee should taste like, well…coffee. Barista takes immense pride in their coffee beans, which embody the rich Italian traditions and flavours that have been brought to Québec. With their artisanal Italian slow-roasted tradition, Barista ensures that every cup of coffee they serve is a testament to the exquisite taste of traditional brewing methods.
Our beans are roasted at low temperatures, ranging between 200 °F and 210 °F, for a duration of 18 to 20 minutes. This meticulous approach allows us to achieve a medium-dark roast, ensuring that the beans are cooked to perfection for the most delightful espresso brews. We believe in preserving the authentic flavours that make traditional coffees truly special.
Barista also features a special Cycling Canada collaboration roast that we stock here at Threshold of course. Café Barista is known for its educational workshops, eco-friendly practices, and strong community engagement, making it a beloved spot for coffee enthusiasts.
